Apple Bottoms To Launch Ladies’ Fragrance
Sean John has had such success with their fragrances that it seems everyone is trying to get a piece of that pie. Last year, Rocawear launched a men’s cologne named 9IX, 50 Cent recently announced his own scent and now, well, Nelly is putting his hat in the ring with Apple Bottoms by Nelly.
The fragrance will be priced at $48 and will hit Macy’s shelves just in time for the holiday shopping season.

Diddy Unveils New Sean John Logo and Spring 2010 Line
Puff has pretty much fallen in love with the internet and social networking. He goes overboard with it … a lot … but every once in a while he drops something worth watching.
Today Diddy unveiled the new Sean John logo on You Tube. Nothing huge there, we’ve seen the new logo before. That said, he and some of the Sean John designers previewed some of the design samples of items that Sean John will be bringing us in the future…
Metal in the arm? I don’t know why I want that. But I do!!
Sean John Expands Into Spain
The Sean John clothing brand has made its first major move by expanding operations into the Spanish market with an exclusive deal to sell the line in El Corte Ingles, a high-end department store. In a move that isn’t seen states’ side often, the store will set up Sean John shops within the main store.
Apparently, the move to Spain was largely because Sean John has seen such success with its fragrances there.
Truthfully, I’m a little surprised to hear Sean John hasn’t had a presence in Europe. They’re last few lines have had a pretty European slant to them. Hopefully they’ll stay true to their roots and won’t go overboard in trying to cater to the European market.
POWER By 50 Cent Is Coming Soon
Jumping on an already crowded bandwagon, G-Unit clothing founder 50 Cent will be launching his own men’s fragrance in the fall: “Power by 50 Cent”.
Scheduled to be released in time for the holiday shopping season, Power will be sold exclusively through Macy’s through partnership with fragrance firm Lighthouse Beauty.
New Rocawear Sneakers To Debut This Summer

Jay-Z and Rocawear will continue their efforts to penetrate the footwear market when they release their Rocawear R+ Evolution sneakers this June.
The above ad leaked online early this month and reaction has been somewhat mixed, some feeling the new shoe lifts its design from the Kanye West designed Nike Air Jeezy’s.
Love them or hate them, look for the new Rocawear shoes to debut in the Urban Corner store later this summer.

Ed Hardy Teams With Iconix
Just as Rocawear did some time ago, Ed Hardy has joined forces with the Iconix group, selling a 50% stake in the company for $17 million in a combination of cash and stock.
In a statement to the New York Post, Iconix CEO Neil Cole was confident the partnership with Ed Hardy would lead to a global growth of the brand. And while some of called the Ed Hardy clothing explosion something of a fad, Cole said he sees Ed Hardy as a lifestyle brand that will last for years to come.
Clothing designer Christian Audigier licensed the Ed Hardy name from famed tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy in 2003.

50 Cent’s “The Money and The Power” To Launch This Week
G-Unit founder 50 Cent will take on the world of reality television this week with his new show, 50 Cent’s The Money and the Power on MTV.
Some have called the new show a pretty blatant copy of the business-related reality shows that have come before it, but 50 promises the show will be different. “I expect the (contestants) to act professionally,” the rapper explained to EW. “The things that you might be excited to see, or are traditional for reality television, would be the wrong thing for them to do on this show.”
The show’s winner will receive $100,000 in seed money to start their own business. The new show debuts the night of November 6th on MTV.
