In the fall of 2000, Michael Glasser and Jerome Dahan saw an opportunity to fill a void for fashionable denim. Both had worked in the industry for years and had witnessed the lack of trendy jeans in the marketplace. After setting up in Los Angeles the two commissioned the help of Peter Koral, of L’Koral, who provided the financial backing needed.

Today, Seven 7 Jeans is considered as the pillar of the luxury jean industry and is alone responsible for the popularity of premium denim. Consumers adore the jeans for the fabric choices, demin and detail. The jeans have become famous for the snug-fit, low rise jean.

The logo found at the waistband and on the back pocket is a brushstroke “7″ and also has ” for all mankind” etched beneath. Seven 7 Jeans are known for its large variety of trademark logos that identifies which style of jean is worn. On the back pocket, one might find a squiggle logo for the straight leg and boy cut jean. For the “A” jean, Swarovski crystal embellishments are used. The “Kate” jeans offer a V shaped embroidery pattern.

The company also consists of denim jackets, shorts, skirts, footwear and handbags. Seven7 Jeans, often referred to as “Sevens,” are popular among fashionable celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Liv Tyler and Jennifer Garner.

In 2007, Seven7 Jeans with its new owner, VF Corporation, solidified its fashion roots by releasing a full garment line which included sportswear and outerwear for both sexes, men’s woven shirts, and women’s dresses.
